COOPER COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 9p.m. Sunday in Cooper County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Dodge Ram driven by Raymond L. Johnston, 60, Booneville, was northbound on Route U at Debo Road.

The pickup traveled off the right side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, rolled and the driver was ejected.

Johnston was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Howard Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
