GASCONADE COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 11a.m. Thursday in Gasconade County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Honda Shadow driven by Jordan J. Calahan, 19, Owensville, was westbound on MO. 28 just west of Meyer Road.

The vehicle traveled across the center line and struck an eastbound 2007 Honda CRV driven by Cathy S. Sulivan, 61, Owensville, nearly head-on.

Calahan was pronounced dead at the scene. Sulivan was transported to Mercy Hospital.
