JOHNSON COUNTY, MO., — One person died in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Thursday in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Chevy passenger vehicle driven by Rodney A. Snell, 57, Latour, was southbound on 1871st Road just north of southwest 800th.

The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, returned to the road and off again, began skidding, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a ditch, overturned and struck a fence.

Snell was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Sweeny-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home. The MSHP did not know if he was wearing a seat belt.
