Another hot day is expected today with highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s and heat index values in the mid 90s to lower 100s. This heat will set the stage for the potential for severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening. The main threats with these storms will be for damaging winds and large hail however, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
