Most of the area will remain dry today, with the exception of areas north of HWY 36 which could see scattered showers and thunderstorms. Severe weather is not expected with these storms, but heavy rain and frequent lightning is possible. A frontal boundary will approach the area Tuesday afternoon bringing scattered showers and storms into western Missouri during the afternoon.
