DOUGLAS COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 9p.m. Monday in Douglas County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Chevy Equinox driven by Ronald D. Uhing, 76, Ava, was west bound on MO. 76 fifteen miles west of Ava.

The vehicle traveled off the ride side of the road and overturned. Uhing was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
