LAWRENCE COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 7p.m. Friday in Lawrence County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Buick LaCrosse driven by Frankie L. Armstrong, 52, Stotts City, was westbound on Lawrence County 2110 one mile one mile north of Stotts City.

The car crossed the center line and collided with a westbound 2016 Chevy pickup driven by Terri R. Johnson, 45, Joplin.

Armstrong was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where he died. EMS transported Johnson to Cox Monett. She was wearing a seat belt. The MSHP did not have details on Armstrong’s seat belt usage.
