BARRY COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 7p.m. Saturday in Barry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by Cecelia M. Miller, 68, Purdy, was southbound on U.S. 60 one mile east of Monett.

The driver failed to yield and pulled into the path of a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Tommy W. Summers, 43, Verona.

The vehicles collided and spun onto a farm road and the motorcycle struck a northbound Chevy Silverado driven by Trevor S. Bray, 37, Highlandville.

Summers and a passenger on the motorcycle Heidi Summers, 46, Verona, were transported to Cox South in Springfield where she died. They were both wearing helmets, according to the MSHP
