Temps in the 20s today, warmer temps the rest of the week

Temperatures will be just above the record low of 9°F with windchill values in the single digits this morning. There will not be much of a warm up today with highs only getting into the mid 20s, but plenty of sunshine to make it look nice outside from a window. Temperatures will start to climb back up into the 40s Wednesday and Thursday with the next chance of rain moving into the area Friday night into Saturday morning. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 11. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 6 mph after midnight.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Wind chill values between zero and 10. South southeast wind 7 to 9 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. South southeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 42. Light and variable wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43.

Friday Night: Rain, mainly after midnight. Low around 38. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Saturday: Rain before noon. High near 43. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Sunday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
