CORRECTION: St. Joseph police have identified the body found late Sunday in a shed as 50-year-old Lonza Eugene Distafino Cunningham.

As previously reported, police responded to the 100 block of Gideon Lane on Sunday and found the body.

Originally, police had released a different name Wednesday afternoon, but later made the correction.

Capt. Jeff Wilson with the St. Joseph Police Department said there will be more information as to the cause of death after results come in from the toxicology report.

A previous version of this story stated the body was identified as 54-year-old Bobby Gene Cunningham Jr. Police later made the correction to the name.
