ANDREW COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Thursday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Honda Civic driven by Sarah M. Chevalier, 21, Amazonia, was eastbound on Route K two miles north of St. Joseph.  The Honda attempted to pass a 2012 Toyota Tacoma driven by Adlai E. Riekhof, 55, St. Joseph, who was attempting to turn left to enter northbound Interstate 229. The Honda struck the driver’s side of the Tacoma. The Honda continued and struck a guardrail.

A private vehicle transported Chevalier to Mosaic Life Care. Riekhof was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
