NW Missouri teen hospitalized after falling asleep at the wheel

HARRISON COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Monday in Harrison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1987 Cadillac Seville driven by David R. Stark, 18, Gilman City, was westbound on MO 146 one mile east of Gilman City. The driver fell asleep and the Cadillac traveled off the north side of the road and struck a utility pole. The vehicle continued across 300th Avenue and came to rest in a field.

Stark was transported to the hospital in Trenton. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
