Breezy and mostly sunny with temps in the 20s

After a cold start to the morning, temperatures will finally begin a warming trend today as southerly winds return to the area. The warming trend will then continue into the weekend with fog and drizzle becoming likely both Saturday and Sunday. Sun will then return to the area on Monday before the next weather system brings the next chance for precipitation to the area on Tuesday. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. Wind chill values between -9 and 1. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 41. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Friday Night: Patchy fog after 7 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. South wind around 7 mph.

Saturday: A slight chance of drizzle before noon. Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. South wind 6 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Patchy fog after 8 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Tuesday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 23.
