Billie “B” Lynne Montgomery

Billie “B” Lynne Montgomery, 77, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in St. Joseph. She was born August 24, 1941 to her wonderful and loving parents Jesse (Cotton) and William Kee. She attended a 1 room school house and graduated from Oregon High School in 1959. She united in marriage to Robert Montgomery on September 13, 1959 in Oregon, MO . She and her husband owned and operated Montgomery & Son Trash Service for over 40 years. B enjoyed spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly. She was initiated into the Order of Eastern Star in 1960 serving numerous positions within her chapter, meeting many new friends over the years. She was currently a OES member of Chapter 223 in Savannah, MO. B was also a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Montgomery on December 30, 2011, father, William Kee and mother, Jesse Pauline Kee. Survivors include, daughter, Robyn (Dan) Richey of St. Joseph, son, Robert L. (Jenifer) Montgomery, of St. Joseph, brother, Stan Kee of Carrollton, MO, sister, Pat (Ike) Pekarek of Hiawatha, KS, sister, Nancy (Phil) Schaeffer of Dearborn, MO, granddaughter, Caitlin Montgomery, granddaughter, Leah Montgomery, grandson, Samuel Montgomery, great-granddaughter, Reagan Hamm and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Rupp Funeral Home, Rev. James Barnett officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home, where the Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 6:00 p.m. The Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Oregon, Missouri. Memorials are requested to the Wesley United Methodist Church.

 

Bob R. Reichel
1928 – 2019

Bob R. Reichel, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Mosaic Life Care.
He was born February 29, 1928 to Walter and Erma (Gorman) Reichel in Centralia, Illinois.
Bob married Dolores L. Martin from Larned, Kansas. They celebrated 71 years of marriage and raised three children.
He served his community where he was a 50-year member of Charity Lodge, A.F. and A.M., 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Moila Shrine, Advisory Board Member of the Salvation Army and St Joseph Parks and Recreation.
Bob was employed by Santa Fe Transportation, Byers Transportation, and retired as co-owner of Brown Transfer and Storage. He also opened the first antique mall in St. Joseph.
Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, traveling, golfing and playing cards with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Dick Abernathy.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores; children, Mark Reichel, St. Joseph, Missouri, Robin Baum (Douglas), Denton, Texas, Jill Kiehl (Tim), Anacortes, Washington; five grandchildren, Justin Kiehl (Nicole), Sarah Baldwin (Josh), Chelsea Reichel, Tracy Graham (Chris), Jenny Baum; seven great-grandchildren, Bailey, Parker, Ally, Autumn, Maverick, Levi, and Hannah.
Farewell Services 3:00 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Missions.

 

Ramona Rose Ozenberger
1928 – 2019

Ramona Rose Ozenberger, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Mosaic Life Care.
She was born August 16, 1928.
Ramona married Bruce Ozenberger, Jr. on May 31, 1946; he preceded her in death on August 29, 2001.
She was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church, American Legion, Moila, Garden Club and various other organizations.
Ramona was preceded in death by her husband; parents, John and Nellie (Sharp) Simpson; son, Bruce Ozenberger; and daughter, Judy Meader.
Survivors include daughter, Carmen Rose, New Orleans; grandsons, Jason Ozenberger (Alicia), Jeffrey Ozenberger; great-grandchildren, Brodie, Dillon, and Dean Ozenberger; and niece, Marquita Liappis.
Farewell Services 3:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to American Legion or American Cancer Society.
