HOLT COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Thursday in Holt County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Ford Mustang driven by John V. Glebavicius, 64, Omaha, was northbound on Interstate 29 nine miles south of Mound City.

The vehicle traveled off the east side of the road and crossed the grass divider between the interstate and northbound I-29 on-ramp from U.S. 59.

The vehicle continued across the on-ramp, traveled off the east side of the road, struck an embankment, traveled up the embankment and overturned.

Glebavicius was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
