Richard Pistole
1934 – 2019

Richard Pistole, 84, of St. Joseph, died May 2, 2019.

Richard was born November 28, 1934, in Conway, Iowa, to Harry and Francis (Drum) Pistole. He served in the Army National Guard from 1953 and retired in 1976 with the rank of Master Sergeant. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO; with a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching and a minor in accounting. He first worked as a public accountant for Gasper & Taylor. He owned and operated Narrow Way Christian Book Store, and retired as an Industrial Arts teacher with Buchanan County R-4. Richard was a member of Deer Park Grace Methodist Church and the National Horseshoe Pitching Association. After retirement he owned and operated New Horizon Cabinet Refinishing. He married Mary Ruth “Ruthie” Zook on August 26, 1956 in Skidmore, MO, and she survives of the home. Also surviving are his children, Vickie Pike (Vernon), Kevin Pistole (Kim), Kristina Hulsey (Matt); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Marjorie Roush (Lester, Jr.); other relatives and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.

Services will be Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Deer Park Methodist Church in St. Joseph. Burial with military honors will follow at Nodaway Memorial Gardens in Maryville. Visitation will begin Tuesday after 12:00 noon at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Keyla Rosario Quintanilla Argueta
2019 – 2019

Keyla Rosario Quintanilla Argueta, hija de Heriberto “Erick” Quintanilla y Rebecca Argueta, originanos de El Savador y residentes de Saint Joseph, Missouri, fellecio a las 28 semanas de gestacion en el vientre de su madre, el dia viernes 26 de Abril del 2019. Keyla fue y seguira siendo una princesa muy amada por sus padres, famila y amigos. Sabemos que fue una gran guerrera de Dios, aun antes de nacer Dios la uso como instrumento precioso para que su padre viniera nuevamente a los pies del maestro y reconciliara con Dios. Keyla Rosio Quintanilla Argueta te amamos y te amaremos por siempre!

 

Barbara Jean Bailey
1957 – 2019

 

Barbara Jean Bailey, 61, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.

She was born May 18, 1957 in Kansas City, MO, daughter of Mary Ann and Robert Hughes. She attended East High School in Kansas City. She married William Bailey on December 29, 1977. Barb enjoyed collecting crystal, loved shopping, and was an avid wrestling fan.

Barbara was preceded in death by father, Robert Hughes, and mother, Mary Ann Allman-Clark.

Survivors include, husband, William Bailey of the home, daughter, Marie (Steven) Ross of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Whitley, Marissa, Steven Jr., Elliott, Brittanie, Eric, D-Angelo, A-Leah, great-granddaughter, Tez-Lynn, sister, Theresa Rodriguez, brother, Melvin Allman, sister, Mary Jo Johnson, sister, Debra McGhee, brother, William Allman, sister, Mildred Allman, brother, Kevin Allman, and sister, Betty Allman.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Mrs. Bailey will be cremated following visitation.
