ANDREW COUNTY — Three people were injured in an accident just before 7:30a.m. Wednesday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford Focus driven by Cindee M. Haynie, 48, Albany, was southbound on U.S. 169 four miles north of St. Joseph.

The driver attempted to avoid a 2011 GMC Acadia driven by Ashley L. Young, 31, Union Star, that was stopped in traffic. The Acadia swerved and the Focus struck the rear corner of the Acadia.

Andrew County EMS transported Haynie and a passenger in the Ford William R. Haynie, 14, Albany, to Mosaic Life Care. A private vehicle transported Young to Mosaic. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
