DEKALB COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Sunday in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Nissan Sentra driven by Bryson T. McDowell, 22, St. Joseph, was northbound on Northwest Polk Road just north of Northwest Bray Road one mile north of Union Star.

The driver lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the road, struck a fence post, a utility pole and a second fence post.

Grand River EMS transported McDowell to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
