HOLT COUNTY  — One person was injured in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Friday in Holt County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Peterbilt dump truck driven by David V. McDowell, 48, St. Joseph, was westbound on Mo. 113 five miles east of Mound City.

The truck traveled off the road and began a skid.  The load shifted and the truck overturned.

Atchison-Holt EMS transported McDowell to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
