Savannah baseball advances to Quarterfinals; LeBlond knocked out by Silex

The Savannah and Bishop LeBlond baseball teams continued postseason play Wednesday.

Savannah advanced to the Class 4 Quarterfinals as they defeated St. Pius X 9-5 Wednesday in their Sectional game at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy.

The Savages improve to 24-1 and they’ll face Pembroke Hill in the Quarterfinals Thursday. That first pitch will be at 5:00 p.m. from Raytown South High School.

And at Phil Welch Stadium in St. Joseph Wednesday, Bishop LeBlond hosted Silex in the Class 2 Quarterfinals and they lost to the Owls 12-8. The Golden Eagles end their season 8-13.
