DEKALB COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 7a.m. Friday in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Ford Explorer driven by Jacob K. Wuerfele, 25, Plattsburg, was in the passing lane of westbound on U.S. 36 two miles west of Osborn. The driver lost control of the SUV in heavy rain. It hydroplaned and overturned.

DeKalb County EMS transported Wuerfele to Mosaic Life Care. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
