Due to repair work in progress, the opening date of the Aquatic Park has been delayed.
According to a press release from the City of St. Joseph, during preparations for the upcoming season, inspections of the pool revealed leaks in several areas of both the pool and pool filtering system. Once the repairs are completed, aquatic staff will then begin filling the pool and properly treating the water. When the Aquatic Park does open, the diving boards, slides and lap pool will remain closed for the season.
Krug Pool is expected to open for the season on June 1, contingent upon weather and water temperatures. While the Aquatic Park is closed for repairs, the hours of operation at Krug Pool will be Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, noon to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. Once the Aquatic Park opens, Krug Pool will return to normal operating hours which are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 6 p.m.
Once an opening date for the Aquatic Park has been confirmed, that information will be shared with the public through the media, social media and the city’s website at stjoemo.org.
