DEKALB COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 3p.m. Thursday in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Polaris Ranger driven by James W. Farr, 83, Stewartsville, was backing up westbound on private property in the 6300 Block of SW Frost Road two miles north of Stewartsville.

The ATV struck Grayson B. Griffin, 5, Stewartsville.

DeKalb County Ambulance transported the child to Mosaic Life Care in serious condition, according to the MSHP. Authorities released no additional details.
