Two NW Missouri men hospitalized after car rear-ends semi

CLINTON COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just after 6a.m. Wednesday in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Dodge Charger driven by Eric L. Teel, 24, Gallatin, was southbound on Interstate 35 two miles south of Cameron.

The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and attempted to pass a 2019 Kenworth semi. The Charger struck the left rear corner of the semi.

Cameron EMS transported Teel, a passenger in the Charger Wesley E. Calloway, 24, Gallatin, and the semi driver Alfred Guzman, 52, Wharton, TX., to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Teel and Calloway were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
