OREGON- An investigation into a fatal Thursday afternoon accident in Holt County continues.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Jana B. Parsons, 48, Forrest City, was westbound on U.S. 59 six miles east of Oregon, crossed the centerline and struck a 2013 Dodge Caravan driven by Michael R. Ginn, 61, Independence.

Parsons was pronounced dead at the scene. Ginn and a passenger in the van were transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center where Ginn died.

The MSHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
