Hundreds turn out for first ever Iowa Tribe Trunk-Or-Treat

Iowa Tribe Trunk or TreatMore than 300 people turned out to the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska’s first Trunk-Or-Treat held Saturday in White Cloud, Kan.

18 agencies from the area took part in putting together the event. Vehicles were decorated and children had the chance to go trunk-to-trunk and fill up their Halloween bags with candy and trinkets. There was also face painting, a costume contest, free hot dogs, and pumpkin decorating.

Activities ran from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rec Center located in White Cloud.face painting

The program was held by the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska, Senior Citizens Mealsite, Iowa Tribe Accounting Department, Tribal Police, Tribal Historic Preservation Officer Museum, Native American Family Services, Contract & Grant Administrator’s Office, Sac & Fox Tribal Police, Richardson County Sheriffs Office, Prarie Band Potawatomie Tribal Victim Services, Brown County Sheriffs Office, Community Health Representative Iowa, United Tribes Food Distribution Program, Iowa Tribal Gaming Commission, Casino White
