PRINCETON- A Missouri teenager was injured in an accident just after 10 p.m. on Thursday in Mercer County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire driven by Garrett M. Runnels, 18, Trenton, was westbound on U.S. 136 three miles east of Princeton. The vehicle skidded across the center of the road, ran off the south side of the road, overturned and struck and embankment.

Runnels was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital.

The MSHP reported he was not wearing a seat belt.
