Eagle Radio awarded during Habitat dinner

20141114_103509Eagle Communications has been recognized by Habitat for Humanity with a Community Spirit Award.

The award was presented during Habitat’s “Unlock the Dream” dinner Thursday.

“Eagle Communications has been a key voice in this community for many years through our four radio stations,” said Eagle Radio Account Ex. James Fisher. “A part of what we do is give back to the community through support of non-profits and other organizations that help make this community a better place to live. ”

Eagle Communication, KJO 105.5 was honored along with Halloween Express for the partnership with Habitat for Humanity St Joseph to promote the Zombie Walk fundraiser for Habitat. This fun and slightly different fundraiser – allows people to dress like Zombies and financially support the work and mission of Habitat for Humanity at the same time.

Fisher accepted the award on behalf of Eagle Radio and Halloween Express.

“Through the work of Habitat for Humanity our community is improved by helping people accomplish home ownership who may otherwise never have that opportunity,” said Fisher. “The impact of this home ownership can change a family dynamic in a positive manner, not just for the immediate people affected, but for generations to come.”
