Fire destroyed the FCI Marketing warehouse on US-169 highway near the 102 River south of Savannah Wednesday morning. The blaze put off huge clouds of black, grey and white smoke, reducing visibility to near zero along the highway.

About a dozen firefighting units were at the scene by 9am. The fire, and the firefighting effort, force MoDOT to close US-169

The blaze was reported shortly after six am, and by the time fire crews arrived the building was already fully involved. By 9am the fire was raging out of control. There have been no reports of injuries.
