Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste (Video)

Students of the Missouri Western State University Department of Music kicked off in Renaissance style Wednesday night with “Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste.”

The performance and formal dinner is a two-night celebration of the holiday season. The second performance will take place Thursday, Nov. 20 in the Fulkerson Center on Western’s campus. Entertainment will begin at 6:45 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person or $210 for a table of eight.

The them is set in the time of Queen Elizabeth I, the English Court is celebrated each holiday season with traditional fare and music. Western Renaissance singers replicate the time with singing, plays, instruments and revelry.
