WICHITA- A Missouri man was injured in an accident just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chrysler van driven by Vernon Leroy Townsend, 44, Savannah, Mo., was on the exit ramp to southbound Interstate 135 to 2nd Street in Wichita.

The driver blacked out and the vehicle continued straight and struck a parked utility vehicle.

Townsend was transported to Wesley Medical Center.

The KHP reported he was wearing a seat belt.
