FAIRFAX- A Missouri woman was injured in an accident just after 11 p.m. on Thursday in Atchison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1995 Pontiac Grand AM driven by Crystal A. Klosek, 29, Fairfax, was eastbound on Route J one mile west of Fairfax.

The driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle crossed the centerline, began to skid, traveled off the south side of the road and struck and embankment.

Klosek was transported to Community Hospital Association in Fairfax.
The MSHP reported she was not wearing a seat belt.
