2 hospitalized after truck slides on Gentry Co. bridge

Missouri Highway Patrol  MHPCARMACK- Two people were injured in an accident just after 6 a.m. on Saturday in Gentry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Chevy pickup driven by Roger D. Allen, 46, Grant City, was southbound on U.S. 169 three miles north of Carmack.

The driver lost control on the ice covered bridge, traveled off the west side of the road and struck an embankment.

Allen and a passenger Kimberly M. Allen, 37, Grant City, were transported to Wright Memorial Hospital.

The MSHP reported he was not wearing a seat belt.
