AVENUE CITY – Two from St. Joseph were injured in an accident just after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Chevy Blazer driven by Samual J. Johnston, 17, Savannah, was southbound on U.S. 169 at Route D in Avenue City.

The driver failed to yield and struck the left side of a 2008 Nissan Altima driven by Robert M. McQuinn, 33, St. Joseph that was northbound.

McQuinn and a passenger Meggie N. McQuinn, 30, St. Joseph were transported to Mosaic Life Care.
Johnston was not injured.

The MSHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
