
The Northwest Missouri State tennis teams picked up a pair of conference victories over Washburn on Monday afternoon in Topeka, Kan.
The 19th ranked men beat the No. 44 Ichabods, 6-3, to seal the 1,000th victory in coach Mark Rosewell’s career.
The women clinched a 6-3 victory of their own after taking four singles points.
The Bearcat men move to 12-5 this season and 2-0 in the conference with the Ichabods dropping to 4-8 overall and 0-3 in MIAA play.
The Northwest women now hold a 13-6 record with a 5-2 mark in MIAA action while Washburn’s squad fell to 3-12 and 2-6 in the conference.

The Northwest Missouri State men will return the court on Wednesday, April 15th for a 3 p.m. home dual with UMKC. Both sides return to conference action on Friday, April 17th when Nebraska Kearney makes the trip to Maryville. First serve in both matches is scheduled for 2 p.m.
