SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A man faces several charges after Springfield authorities say he broke into a woman’s home, put on her clothes and then left the scene on her bicycle.
RyanW. Lorton is charged with burglary, theft, tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
A probable cause statement says two women arrived home last week to find a door open. Several items were missing from the residence, including the bicycle. A car parked at the home also had been burglarized.
The statement says one of the women later saw Lorton wearing her clothes and pushing her bicycle down the street. Police were called and chased after him on foot. Lorton eventually fell down, and he was arrested.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Lorton has an attorney.
