ST. JOSEPH – Pending weather has forced the Missouri Western baseball and softball teams to alter weekend schedules.

Griffon Softball has moved a doubleheader with Washburn to Thursday at 5 p.m. and Missouri Western Baseball has condensed its series with Northwest Missouri State and changed dates. The Griffons will host Northwest in a doubleheader on Thursday at 5 p.m. and another twin bill on Friday at 5 p.m.

As of now, Western softball’s saturday doubleheader with Emporia State is still on as scheduled. The team is set to recognize seniors Tiffany Gillaspy and Brooke Schaben after the games on Saturday. Griffon Baseball has pushed its senior day recognition up to Friday prior to the start of those games. The team will recognize nine seniors.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has also moved its tailgate for student-athletes up to Thursday during softball and baseball’s doubleheaders. As always, check back on gogriffons.com, Twitter (@gogriffons) and Facebook (Missouri Western Griffon Athletics) for any additional schedule changes.
