The St Joseph Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the death of a 52-year-old woman.

Friday afternoon officers responded to a residence at 3404 Locust in reference to a domestic violence investigation.

A woman was found there with serious injuries and transported by EMS into emergency surgery. She later died as a result of her injuries.

An autopsy has been ordered and results are pending.

Martin G Davis, 54 years of age, was later arrested in reference to this investigation.

Davis is currently being held in the Buchanan County Jail and has been charged with 2nd Degree Domestic Violence.

Bond has been denied.

Arraignment is set for Tuesday.
