The Chillicothe Police Department has released it’s media report regarding incidents officers have responded to this week.

On Sunday, May 3rd, 2015, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Third St. and N. Washington St. Officers arrested Amber Renee Zeller and Larry Wayne Thompson, both out of Arkansas, for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. They were transported to the Police Department for processing. Zeller and Thompson were then transferred to the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

On Monday, May 4th, 2015, Officers arrested Jason Dwayne Howard in the 800 block of Calhoun St. on an active arrest warrant out of Adair County for Property Damage 1st Degree. Howard was unable to post the $10,000.00 cash only bond and was extradited to Adair County.

On Monday, May 4th, 2015, Officers took a report of a possible sex crime via electronic communication. The investigation is on-going.  (Police told the St. Joseph Post they not releasing any further information in this case at this time.)

On Tuesday, May 5th, 2015, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 400 block of Elm St. Officers discovered the incident to be a verbal domestic disturbance. No arrests were made.

On Tuesday, May 5th, 2015, Officers were dispatched to the 10 block of Tenth St. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrested William Russell Helm, Jr., for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Helm was transported to the Police Department for processing. He was later transferred to the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

Officers responded to 86 calls for service and issued multiple citations for various traffic and criminal offenses on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015.
