ALLENDALE, Mich. – Benton graduate and Central Missouri junior Heavin Warner won the national title in the hammer throw Thursday on day one of the NCAA Division II Track & Field National Championships in Allendale, Michigan.
Warner successfully defended her title from a year ago as she had a winning throw of 211’1″ and was the only competitor with a mark of over 200 feet.
She becomes Central Missouri’s first back-to-back national champion since Lindsey Lettow in 2011-12.
