
Sculpture Walk to open up in St. Joseph in June.
The Sculpture Walk is a program of the Allied Arts Council that introduces contemporary outdoor public art and sculptures to the community. The Walk is a year-long exhibit of national, juried, outdoor sculptures displayed in Downtown St. Joseph and includes 17 juried sculptures from artists nationwide.
An opening reception for the 2015-16 St. Joseph Sculpture Walk is being held by the Allied Arts Council, the City of St. Joseph and the St. Joseph Downtown Community Improvement District.
The reception will be held June 12, 2015. Participants will get a chance to meet the artists and see the unveiling of this year’s sculptures.
The reception will take place at the new Bourbon Street location, 620 Edmond St, from 5-7 p.m.
The Allied Arts Council said to wear comfortable walking shoes, as the event includes the unveiling and first tour of the St. Joseph Sculpture Walk.
The reception, $15 per person or $25 per couple, includes appetizers provided by Bourbon Street and a cash bar.
