20-mile trooper project results in more than 100 tickets over Memorial Day weekend

More than 100 tickets were issued in Troop H over the Memorial Day weekend.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop H participated in the state-wide 20 miles trooper project on May 22 and May 25, designated as the peak travel days for the holiday period.

During that time, troopers were assigned a 20-mile stretch of I-29 from the Buchanan County line to the Iowa state line. Troopers were also assigned to saturate high crash locations on highways within Troop H.

As a result, officers issued 144 tickets and 294 warnings.
