A St. Joseph father has also been charged after his 2-year-old son consumed Methamphetamine last month.
27-year-old Billy L. Riley Jr. of St. Joseph has been charged with a second degree misdemeanor for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
As we previously reported, the child’s mother 24-year-old Natasha King of St. Joseph was charged last week with a misdemeanor for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
According to court documents on May, 29 Riley had a container of liquid Methamphetamine laying on a table near where he was seated. The child allegedly got in possession of the container and drank it. The child was taken to the hospital six hours later after showing signs of intoxication. At the hospital the boy tested positive for Meth.
Riley has prior convictions for stealing, unlawful use of a weapon, and assault.
He is being held in the Buchanan County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
King is being held without bail. Online court documents state the court found King to be a danger to the victim. She has an arraignment set for Tuesday in the case.
