The St. Joseph Mustangs rolled to an easy win Wednesday night at Phil Welch Stadium as they shutout the Nevada Griffons 12-0.

Dixon Marble threw a gem as the Mustangs’ starter allowed only one hit in eight innings as he improves to 3-1 on the summer. Marble struck out four and walked two. Jake Harper threw a perfect ninth inning to finished off the combined one-hitter.
St. Joseph gave Marble a huge cushion early as they scored six runs in the first inning. They added a single run in the second and added five more in the sixth inning.
Ramsey Scott hit his third home run of the season and drove in three runs, Kyle Richards added two runs and two RBI, while Jerry Houston and Scott Braren had two hits each.
The Mustangs are at home again Thursday night as they host Clarinda inside Phil Welch Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
