Heat precautions for One Direction performance at Arrowhead Stadium

One Direction on the road again tour from fbWith temperatures for tonight’s One Direction concert at Arrowhead Stadium expected to be over 90 degrees, the Chiefs are recommending fans take precautions to protect themselves from the heat:
· Stay hydrated, use sunscreen and wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
· Guests may bring one factory-sealed bottle of water into Arrowhead Stadium.

· Guests may also bring an additional empty personal water bottle to refill inside the stadium. Water fountains are located behind sections 127, 129, 205, 220, 228, 243, 316, 320, 327, 332 and 344.

· There will be water-misting fans located on the upper level of the Gate F and Hy-Vee Gate spirals. located on the Upper Level of Arrowhead Stadium by the island bars at 321 and 326 on the south side of the stadium and between 301/346 and 302/303 on the north side of the stadium.
· Fans can get a cup at any Fans First Booth which can be filled at any of the water fountains located throughout the stadium.
· Anyone experiencing difficulties with the heat is advised to visit one of The University of Kansas Hospital First Aid Stations located behind sections 114, 132, 241, 307, 316, 329 and 339.

Because of a large number of youth expected to attend Tuesday’s concert, there will be a number of youth and family-focused services offered at Arrowhead Stadium.
· Youth drop off and pick up will take place in Lot L on the southeast side of Arrowhead. Lot L is accessed off of Blue Ridge Cutoff. Drop off will take place in a line around the outer edge of Lot L. Red Coaters and other staff will assist those dropped off along the path to the stadium gates. Those returning to pick up should return no later than 9:30 p.m. and park in Lot L to wait for concertgoers to return following the show.
· Parents attending the show with their child or children are encouraged to visit a Fans First Booth to pick up a youth identification bracelet for each of their children.
· There will also be a parent room located inside the Draft Room on the south side of Arrowhead Stadium for parents that don’t have a ticket to the concert but would like to remain on-site. The Draft Room will open at 5:30 p.m.

As with all events at Arrowhead Stadium, the NFL’s clear bag policy will be in effect. Fans can visit www.goarrowhead.com/allclear/ or www.nfl.com/allclear for important information on the clear bag policy and a complete list of permitted and prohibited items.

As a reminder, the Missouri Department of Transportation is doing bridge rehabilitation work on Stadium Drive near Gate 6 on the north side of the Truman Sports Complex. One lane will be closed in both the eastbound and westbound traffic lanes between Raytown Road and Route 40. Concertgoers should allow for additional travel time if their route will take them along Stadium Drive.
