Northwest to offer free courses to students enrolling at Northwest-Kansas City

Northwest logo with castleMARYVILLE, Mo. – Students who enroll in fall courses at Northwest Missouri State University-Kansas City may be eligible for a free course.

Students may receive one free three-credit hour class during the fall 2015 trimester if they apply for admission by Friday, Aug. 14, and meet the following criteria:

· Be a first-time, degree-seeking, undergraduate transfer student

· Enroll in at least 12 credit-hours

· Complete 12 fall credit hours with a 2.00 grade-point average

Online-only students are not eligible to receive a free class.

Beginning this fall, Northwest is offering completion programs for business, education, and parks and recreation degrees at Northwest-Kansas City. The programs are available to students who have completed at least 24 hours of transferable, college-level coursework and have a 2.00 cumulative college grade-point average.

Northwest-Kansas City is located on the campus of Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods at 2601 N.E. Barry Road in Kansas City, Mo.
