Driver arrested after crash seriously injures two passengers

MSHP logoA Ravenwood man was arrested for drunk driving and other charges after a crash north of Maryville sent his two passengers to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report indicates a single-vehicle accident occured shortly after 3am Sunday on Ideal Road north of Maryville. According to the report, a Honda SUV driven by Daniel Baumli left the roadway, hit a driveway, went airborned and overturned.

Two passengers suffered serious injuries. The patrol identified them as Johnathon Riley of Bedford, Iowa and Lukas Riley of Polo, Missouri. Both were transported to SSM Healthcare in Maryville.

Mr Bauli refused medical treatment at the scene of the accident. He was arrested by the patrol and taken to the Nodaway County Law Enforcement Center on a 24 hour hold.

The arrest report lists charges of DWI, careless and imprudent driving, and felony assault, but by Tuesday morning no charges appeared in online court records.
