Three people were taken to the hospital Wednesday after a two vehicle crash in Andrew County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Phillip Barnes of St. Joseph was driving a 1999 Ford F-150 northbound on Route K around 1:58 p.m. when 45-year-old Heather Norton of Massachusetts made a left hand turn onto route K from Maxwell Road in her 1996 Oldsmobile Ciera and failed to yield.  Barnes’ vehicle ended up hitting Norton’s vehicle on the passenger side.

Two passengers including a child in Barnes’ vehicle were taken by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care.  22-year-old Danielle Shade was transported with moderate injuries and a 3-year-old girl was also taken with minor injuries.  Norton was also transported to Mosaic with moderate injuries.
