Charisse Loraine Widener 62, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 unexpectedly at her home. She was born June 17, 1953 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Gloria and Charles Kirk. She graduated from Benton High School class of 1971and married William (Bill) Widener on January 25, 1985 and they shared 30 years together. She worked as an account clerk at the former SST now EGS (Expert Global Solutions). She enjoyed quilting, strain glass window making, gardening and a was a member of the St. Joseph Herb garden club and also a member of the New Home Baptist Church Charisse was preceded in death by father, Charles Kirk, daughter, Charilynn Mackley, granddaughter, Serina Mae Stockstill. Survivors include, husband, William “Bill” Widener of the home, mother, Gloria J. Deardon of WA, mother in law, Delores Widener of St. Joseph, MO, son, Benjamin (Melissa) Widener of Cassville, MO, daughter, Melinda Ashby of Dearborn, MO, 8 grandchildren: Paige Widener of Dickinson, TX, Brandon Ashby of Florida, Abigale Widener, Lilian Widener both of St. Joseph, Cheyenne Ashby of Dearborn, MO, Gagee Ashby of Florida, Mercedes Ashby of Oklahoma, Jaelob Bally of Cassville, three sisters, Jean Vaughn, Dawn Miller, and Christy Collins, four brother: Carey Kirk, Elliott Kirk, Kent Kirk, and Larry Kirk, 7 nieces, and 7 nephews, as well as life long friend and who she considered to be her sister, Sue Zuptich, other life long friends, Mary McBride, Rose Wood, Virginia Ebling.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Steele officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Bethel Cemetery . Vivian J. “Viv” (Karsten) Dutcher, 67, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care.
She was born October 9, 1947 in Mound City, Missouri.
Vivian married Paul Douglas Dutcher September 17, 1970.
She worked at the Pentagon for twelve years and later for Social Security.
Viv enjoyed traveling, going to the boat and spending time with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Jacob Beaderstadt; and father, Clarence Karsten.
Survivors include her daughter, Heather Dutcher, Kissimmee, Florida; granddaughter, Lacee Jessogne (Dale), Kissimmee, Florida; sister, Rita Howard, Austin, Texas; mother, Leta Karsten, St. Joseph; and two nephews, Brian and Matthew Howard.
Graveside Farewell Services & Interment 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
