A rollover crash along I-35 in Edgerton, Kansas last night claimed the life of two people, including a six-year-old girl.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Ashley Nicole Towner of Wellsville, Kansas overcorrected when her vehicle went into the median shortly before 10:30pm. The car rolled, ejecting Ms Towner and her passenger, six-year-old Ilana Dawn Towner.

State troopers say the youngster’s booster car seat was in the vehicle but was not buckled in. According to the crash report, Ms Towner was not wearing  a seat belt.

Both occupants were killed in the crash
